These two, I could not have wished for a better day for them! So much goes into these short 24 hours. I hope the rest of their life together is as beautiful as their wedding day.

I asked Heidi for some words about how she remembers this day, as her and Kirk are at the heart of it all, and she couldn't have said it better.

From the Bride:

Our wedding day was a day full of love and happiness. Seven years of devotion led up to our special day. This was the day that we'd commit to one another for the rest of our lives. We were both so excited to be joined as husband and wife.  

I remember feeling my heart pounding as I was getting ready. Little did I know that my usually calm and collected husband-to-be was just as nervous! When the doors opened at the church and I looked down at him, my heart was so full. Meeting him at the altar, I knew he was my person, now and forever. 

The day was pure joy. I remember being so happy that the weather cooperated with us! Just as we walked out of church, the dreary skies cleared and sunshine took its place. It was like a sign to us. We felt so blessed and grateful for our day of celebrations. 

One of the things that was so special to us was seeing all the people who came out to celebrate with us. Our family and friends mean the world to us and it was so heartwarming to have them with us. The memories we made on our wedding day are an absolute treasure. 

That day, time went by so fast, but at the same time, time stood still. In the quiet moments, it felt as though we were in a dream. It was a surreal experience. How lucky was I to be marrying my best friend! 

As I reflect back on the day, the one thing that stands out the most to me is love. As a newly married couple, we made a promise of great love to one another. But it wasn't just our love that we felt. Love also radiated from our loved ones and surrounded us. For a day, we all came together. My family, his family, and all our friends came to share a day of joy. 

Our wedding day was a day that we won't ever forget. It will live on in our daily lives, as we continue to love and cherish one another each day. We are so excited and blessed to spend the rest of our lives together in unity as husband and wife!
