Heather and Josh | Winter Wisconsin Northwoods Elopement
Wisconsin winter elopements are so special! The fresh snowfall, quietness of the outdoors, and brisk air are like no other, except in the peak winter season.
Heather and Josh started the day off getting ready apart before meeting at their ceremony location for a first look. Heather trudged through the snow to meet up with her groom and they both took a moment to take each other in. Smiles and love abounded as they held each other close in this moment.
They explored around the park, hiking through snowy trails to take in the scenery. Joined by their friends and family, overlooking a frozen river and snowcapped trees, they exchanged vows and promises.
After the ceremony everyone traveled to Heather’s parents house for some fun winter activities and hot cocoa. Heather and Josh and the kids changed into snow pants and grabbed some sleds to ride down the hill in the backyard.
To warm up, Heather’s dad built a fire and her mom brought out fixings for s’mores to roast. When the cold started to set in and people started to head back inside for homemade coca and warmth, Heather and Josh headed out to some fresh snow for their first dance. Josh queued up their song on his phone before putting it in his pocket and taking his wife’s hand.
